High Point Clinches 2025 Geico Boardwalk Battle Championship with 91-80 Win Over Incarnate Word

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —High Point claimed the championship of the 2025 Geico Boardwalk Battle with a strong 91–80 victory over Incarnate Word at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. The Panthers set the tone early, taking a 46–40 halftime lead and keeping control throughout the second half with steady execution on both ends of the floor.
Terry Anderson led High Point with an efficient 23 points on 10-of-12 shooting, while Cam’Ron Fletcher delivered a pivotal double-double, adding 18 points and 12 rebounds. Their inside presence and physicality helped High Point create a double-digit cushion that Incarnate Word struggled to erase.
Incarnate Word was paced by a standout 30-point performance from Davion Bailey and 19 from Tahj Staveskie, but the Cardinals were unable to overcome High Point’s dominance on the boards and timely scoring runs. Despite their offensive firepower, UIW couldn’t string together enough stops down the stretch, allowing High Point to finish off the tournament with the title.
